First created in 1957, the Seamaster 300 represents one of most famous watches in underwater history. Today, OMEGA has gone back to the start of the story, with a new vintage-inspired collection that embraces the past, while also offering the best in modern precision.

THE UPDATED DESIGN

Today’s new collection offers 41 mm timepieces delivered in classic stainless steel. While remaining true to the heritage look, the style is thinner than previous versions thanks to the new domed sapphire glass, while the thinner bezels are crafted from an oxalic, anodized-treated aluminium for increased hardness.

SANDWICH DIAL

For the dial, OMEGA’s new sandwich conception includes a base layer with vintage Super-LumiNova and a second plate over the top with cuttings for the recessed hour markers and the vintage numerals in an open Arabic style.

LOLLIPOP HAND

To again reference history, OMEGA has also reintroduced the popular lollipop central seconds hand. The style works beautifully with the cleaner dial, which now features only the OMEGA logo and Seamaster 300 name.

SUPER-LUMINOVA

Providing visibility in dark conditions, Super-LumiNova is included on the diving scale of the bezel, as well as the hour markers and hands. To support the diving function, all indications are blue, except for the minute hand and bezel dot, which are in green.

A PIONEERING HISTORY

As part of the famous “Professional Trilogy”, which also included the Speedmaster and Railmaster watches, the original Seamaster 300 was launched in 1957 as OMEGA’s first-ever professional divers’ watch. The easy-to-read design offered superb water-resistance, as well as OMEGA’s first diving bezel.

CALIBRE OMEGA 8912

Through the sapphire crystal on the caseback, wearers can view the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8912. The movement and full watch are certified as a Master Chronometer, approved by METAS, and resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss. The calibre features a free-sprung balance with silicon balance spring, two barrels mounted in series, and is automatic winding in both directions.
