We are introducing a number of measures to help protect both our customers and our staff.
Members of the public will be asked to use the hand sanitiser provided upon entering the store.
There will be maximum of two customers in each shop at any time to ensure this with a one in and one out policy. Possible locked door policy.
Customers will be served at the designated areas where sneeze guards are installed. Items will be presented on a serving tray so social distancing can be adhered to. A more in depth policy will be issued to all staff members.
Screens have been placed at the checkouts to protect customers and staff.
Staff will be hand washing on a regular basis with anti bacterial soap for at least twenty seconds. This is especially to be carried out every time members of staff enter and exit the shop premises. Proper drying with disposable towels which are to be put into bins straight after use. All staff also reminded to catch coughs and sneezes in tissues – Follow, Catch it, Bin it, Kill it and to avoid touching face, eyes, nose or mouth with unclean hands. Tissues will be made available throughout the workplace.
Frequently cleaning and disinfecting objects and surfaces that are touched regularly in areas of high use. This includes but is not limited to; door handles, light switches, counters, telephones, computer keyboards, credit card machines, presentation trays, safes. Appropriate anti bacterial products and cleaning methods are to be used.
We will encourage our customers to shop in a cashless and contactless way to prevent unnecessary contact.
Disposable masks, visors and gloves will be provided for every member of staff.
Each staff member will be allocated their own individual working materials which includes but not limited to, eyeglass, pen, calculator, notepad, . Where individual equipment cant be issued ie. Credit card machine, ipad etc these are to wiped down thoroughly with anti bacterial wipes provided after each use.
All stock that is handled must be sanitised using the UV sanitiser or anti bacterial wipes/spray depending upon which is appropriate.
If anyone becomes unwell with a new continuous cough or a high temperature in the workplace they will be sent home and advised to follow the stay at home guidance. They should not come to work if these symptoms develop on a day off or overnight. Staff members temperatures may be taken each morning.
