Tissot was founded in 1853 by Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Émile Tissot in Le Locle, Switzerland. Ever since it has been producing a broad range high quality watches at attractive price points. Committed to its signature of ‘Innovators by Tradition’, Tissot is known for creating high tech modern products, that still maintain their reverence for the company’s heritage. Their strong culture of innovation led to numerous world firsts, such as the first pocket watch with two time zones in 1853, and the first anti-magnetic watch in 1930.

From its origins in the Swiss Jura Mountains, Tissot has grown internationally, currently having a presence in 160 countries. The international recognition of their craftsmanship has led to them becoming the official timekeeper of many of the sporting world’s most impressive sporting events and associations including MotoGP™, The 6 Nations, FIBA, AFL, FIM Superbike, and the world Championships of cycling, ice hockey and fencing.

All Tissot watches are entirely Swiss made, with all parts, movement, assembly, and inspection being Swiss produced and conducted. This level of quality and care, while maintaining its commitment to making excellence available to all, truly makes Tissot unique among its peers.
